Nine months, one false alarm and 41 hours in the hospital later – he finally decided to make his appearance!
Pape was born Sunday at 8:50am!
He weighs 7 lbs 4 oz, is 21 in long, had APGARs of 10, and is quite a muscular little guy. He’s eating well, and sleeping even better. The nurses and midwives love him – and we can totally see why. We’re pretty sure he’s their favorite toubab bébé in the maternity ward, and would be even if there were others up there.
Mom is recovering well from the c-section. (Doing well enough, in fact, to dictate this blog post from her bed.) Thank you for your prayers, emails and phone calls. We’ll keep you updated and look forward to introducing the little guy in person!
