Hopefully, better than this guy’s:
Old taxi meets big, nasty pothole that has been filled with trash and cinder blocks. They don’t live happily ever after. It literally ripped the taxi apart.
This brings me to mention that every day we are getting closer to officially deciding we need a vehicle. Our plan was to try getting around in taxis for a year to see if we could do it longterm. It’s expensive, but still cheaper than having a vehicle, due to the insanely high import taxes and gas at $8/gallon.
Well, a year is up in four and a half months (crazy!) and unless something changes pretty drastically, I think we’ll be headed towards shopping for wheels. Preferably the kind that stay attached to the vehicle when navigating the challenging streets of Dakar.
