Flour + oil + bowl + spoon = an hour’s entertainment

One of my goals recently has been to stretch my creative side a bit. While this includes finding activities for Pape like playing with cloud dough on the dining room table, it also means trying some new arts and crafts for people more my height… that is to say, 5 foot 2ish.

So, in that spirit…

Hopefully that makes my project a little bit clearer. A scene we know and love on a recycled canvas done with bazin and wax print fabrics. And glue. Lots of glue.

I made the mosque from a glue sticks box and the minarets from braided wax/bazin cloths.

I offered the finished piece to Cheikh for his new office. He hasn’t gotten back to me on that… 😉
